My Wyoming Wonderland

Wyoming — God’s Country

Wyoming

Many places on this earth are called Paradise. I’ve been to a few actually that are at the top of popular magazines’ Vacation hotspots. The Bahamas, Cancun, Arizona…

But I love my home, Wyoming. I call it “God’s Country.” You may wonder why with the high plains of sagebrush and herds of antelope (Western Plains Pronghorn) or the gale force winds only found in tropical storms or hurricanes.

I have to say, Wyoming has quite a flair. But anyone who lives here, visits here knows— God has touched this land with His own very hand. It is His.

The mountains tower with His glory. The rivers flow with His hope. The prairies stretch with His power. And the skies cry out His Name.

Wyoming Home

I can’t take a step in this land without being reminded of the Father that created it. From the creatures who partake from the abundance in spring to the icy beautiful vistas provided in the harshness in the deep throes of winter, I’m reminded of His nature. My life, my love, and my God is around me in the thing I call home.

He’s in the birds of the air— the soaring eagles, the meadowlark, and the tiny hatchlings of a barn sparrow.

He’s in the elk, moose, deer, and buffalo roaming around the hot pools of Yellowstone as they search for food in the blanket of white.

Wyoming is so much more than what it appears. It is a wild land. It is a productive land. It is a conservative land. It is a godly land. It is a stable land.

It is God’s land.
