It’s All Right to Be Wrong

As Night Moves Along

A lonely howl drew me from my restless slumber once more this week so here I am at two a.m. trying to figure out how to combat aching muscles, overloaded brain waves, and a weary soul in order to find that peaceful albeit temporary state of rest.

As our bodies and minds search for a way to mourn another loss of a dear family member, this time with no warning, no notice. Simply taken in the night from a life of torment and suffering.

Although we grieve for our loss, we can’t be selfish in the very fact that surprise is not an altogether truthful declaration of the situation. To be dismissive that He offered warnings beforehand would be disingenuous.

Why you ask? For the Lord also used the trials and tribulations of our dear sister as opportunities for her to hear and hopefully accept His message of sanctification and salvation.

With pain comes hope. And hope, joy. We cry tears of sorrow once again in 2024 in the hopes of seeing our sister again.

I only have one thing to say to you, Katie.

“It’s all right to hurt. It’s all right to cry. It’s all right to be right. It’s all right be wrong. And don’t worry, sis, it’s all right to die.”

See you soon, dear Katie. We love and miss you. Sleep well now.

In Christ always,

Renee
