Fear of Healthcare in America

A Reality for Rare Disease and Pain Patients in Wyoming

Death’s Door for Us

I am given a choice for healthcare in my community: travel across the state or out of state or die of pain from a heart attack or suicide. It’s simple. The healthcare system in my community refuses to offer any care to me as a rare disease patient who is disabled with chronic pain and the most severe disabling and progressive type of pain known to man.

Why? I don’t know. You’d have to ask them. Oh, I have my suspicions as does every other disabled person with this disease in America fighting to stay alive or stares a gun in the barrel every day like me. It’s the civil rights issue of our time and is being brushed under the rug and thousands upon thousands of us are being systematically eliminated.

Has anybody ever asked themselves why? I have. I’m a licensed pharmacist of 28 years. I’ve worked every aspect of the job and every type from compound to oncology, retail to socialized medicine, private to government, hospital and clinical to Mail order and independent and chain.

I’ve seen corruption of the highest order and integrity at the best. In the end, I know what’s driving the “Opioid War” and it’s not concern for the masses by the political or medical realm. That is the biggest lie ever created to cover the ulterior motive the US Government has and always has had in any agenda— control and domination.

How do I know? The United States government seeks such power over everyone and everything especially its PEOPLE, mainly its employees of which I was one for over ten years. It learned from the English Empire well and crushed the residing Native Americans, breaking every agreement it agreed to between every tribe.

It intends to break every citizen under its boot while proclaiming protection for all. How do I know? It passes laws such as the ADA, Medicare, and Medicaid protections and allows the DEA to persecute, incarcerate, and condemn doctors, pharmacists, and nurses for treating those protected under such laws. Such domination and power is tempered by the ADA and other laws to protect those disabled, different, or weaker and cannot protect themselves.

Unfortunately, no lawyers will take a stand to protect me against the government or the healthcare machine of my community.

Where do i I fear for my life if I have an emergency and refuse to press my Lifeline if I should need it. Why? Repercussions for the constant refusals and errors they have made in my chart and care over the years as well as my husband who is also disabled, a rare disease, and severe chronic pain patient as well as MY caregiver who has now been denied care in town as well.

Now I understand fear. I even understand trepidation. But I do not and will never understand deception and organized top-down corruption, an issue which has plagued the healthcare in my town and the government for years.

If we were the only “victims” (I hate that word) of this system’s lack of care, I would simply fade into the ashes— literally— and nothing would be heard from me. In my husband’s words, “I’m tired of the fight.” I have been the day I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Type 2 and I was told I had no hope of remission… ever… only progression, torturous pain and eventually death either at my own hand or heart failure.

But the injustice of the government’s attacks on RARE DISEASES such as mine and my husband’s extends far beyond two disabled, rare disease, chronic pain patients on SSDI in this small slice of what used to be Heaven on earth.

You see, others have been driven out of town as well from general and pain care that can be provided hereWITHOUT ADDITIONAL NEEDLESS, INTENTIONAL PAIN AND SUFFERING DUE TO SIMPLE, PURE DISCRIMINATION.

If you want to know what my days and nights are like BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER TRAVELING TO A DOCTOR FOR CARE THAT CAN BE PROVIDED IN TOWN, stay tuned for the upcoming blog/vlog— “Bearing Discrimination in Northeastern Wyoming— Healthcare for the Rare Disease Patient
